TASTING
India Pale Ale style, typical of the UK, characterized by particularly bitter due to the abundant use of hops. The birth of this style of beer dates back to the English colonization: the beer was produced in England before being delivered by the ships in India and the only preservative known at the time, which allowed not to spoil the beer during such a long journey , was the hop that was just added in large quantities.
The best glass is the classic English pint, the proper serving temperature in order to discover all the aromatic notes is between 8 and 10 ° C.
Beer of orange opalescent color with a very persistent foam, ocher tones, fine and creamy. Emerge aromas of citrus fruits such as grapefruit and mandarin, a hint of pine needles and tropical fruit.

Nel sempre più ampio panorama delle birre artigianali italiane, il birrificio Brewfist, che si trova nel Lodigiano, si contraddistingue tra tanti per la qualità delle birre e la costanza di risultati. Dal 2010, anno di nascita del birrificio, la squadra porta avanti il suo obiettivo “More beer more people” e attraverso la costante ricerca di nuovi ingredienti, nuove tecniche e nuove idee, crea dei capolavori come la Spaceman.
DEGUSTAZIONE
India Pale Ale, stile tipico del Regno Unito, caratterizzato dal particolare amaro dovuto all’abbondante uso di luppoli. La nascita di questo stile di birra risale alla colonizzazione inglese: la birra veniva prodotta in Inghilterra per essere poi consegnata con le navi in India e l’unico conservante conosciuto all’epoca, che permettesse di non far rovinare la birra durante un così lungo tragitto, era il luppolo che veniva aggiunto appunto in quantità elevate.
Il bicchiere più adatto è la classica pinta inglese, la giusta temperatura di servizio per scoprirne tutte le note aromatiche è tra gli 8 e i 10°C.
Birra di color arancio opalescente con una schiuma molto persistente, dai toni ocra, fine e cremosa.
Emergono profumi di agrumi come pompelmo e mandarino, leggeri sentori di aghi di pino e di frutta tropicale.
In bocca rivela un corpo medio, con una consistenza watery che la rende molto beverina. Nasconde in modo molto pericoloso il contenuto alcolico (7%), La carbonatazione è piuttosto elevata. La prima sensazione è di malto ma il palato è subito invaso da un bell’amaro, note di scorza d’agrumi e “resinose”; molto secca.
ABBINAMENTI
La Spaceman si accompagna bene con antipasti di verdure e salumi, pasta o risotto con carne o verdure, secondi di carne rossa, formaggi semi-stagionati e stagionati.
Si abbina bene alla cucina indiana, a piatti piccanti e a base di curry sia di carne sia di pesce o vegerariani.
IN CUCINA
Con questa birra potete fare un ottimo manzo a cubetti marinato, servito poi con scorza di arancio grattugiata e cipollotto tagliato molto fine, un pizzico di sale e pepe.
Trasformate questa birra in gelatina: fatela bollire aggiungendo zucchero e agar agar poi fatela raffreddare, sarà ottima spalmata sui formaggi o all’interno di un pan di spagna al cacao ricoperto di panna montata.
Marinateci l’agnello prima di metterlo in forno, potete poi cuocerlo con la stessa marinatura in modo da togliergli quel suo particolare odore, l’agnello acquisisce profumi e sapori unici.
